I want to share a recipe I have had for a while now. I used to use refined sugar but after making to move a healthy lifestyle, I twirked it a bit! It is made with the popular tsamiya/tamarind and is chock full of nutrients. Let's go!
Ingredients:
1 cup tsamiyya/Tamarind
1 1/2 pineapple
1/2 knob ginger (grated)
1-5 dry pepper (adjust with discretion)
5 cloves
5 tbsp honey (as a rule refined sugar is a no no)

5 cloves
5 tbsp honey (as a rule refined sugar is a no no)
Soak tsamiyya in 250ml of hot water for 30 mins.
Peel,core and chop pineapple.
Blend pineapple with 1litre of water till smooth.
Drain tsamiya using a Nigerian pap-cloth. Keep the tsamiya juice
Pour tsamiya juice into blended pineapple, add all spices and honey.
Boil for 20mins
Let it cool and strain with Nigerian pap-cloth
Chill and serve!
Tamarini is taken alone or along with food or snacks!!
